Nikolić meets with a Chinese delegation

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić met in Belgrade with a delegation from Zhejiang, one of the most developed Chinese provinces, and discussed economic cooperation between Serbia and China. Chian Jianmin, the secretary of the Communist Party of the city of Shaoxing, said the Chinese were interested in investing in textile and food companies in Serbia which have tradition, high potentials and expert staff. Nikolic congratulated him on the purchase of company “Sever” from Subotica and expressed expecations that the privatization will be successful, that many people will be employed and production boosted. He stressed that China was one of Serbia’s major partners and called on the delegation members to be introduced to companies in Serbia, in which they may invest and whereby bilateral economic cooperation could be expanded.
