COVID-19 – New Measures from December 20

The COVID-19 Crisis response team issued a decision presenting new measures to combat the epidemic caused by the COVID-19 disease, which regulates the entry of foreign and Serbian citizens into the Republic of Serbia. According to the statement of Minister Darija Kisić Tepavčević, the measures will be valid from December 20, most likely until January 10, depending on the epidemiological situation.

According to the decision of The COVID-19 Crisis response team made on December 14, foreign citizens will not be able to enter Serbia as of December 20 without a negative PCR test, not older than 48 hours. Intensified control will be performed at the border crossings, with an obligatory PCR test, which will be necessary for all foreign citizens, regardless of which country they enter Serbia from.

As for the citizens of Serbia, their right to enter Serbia is guaranteed by the Constitution, however, they will be required to stay in home isolation for 10 days if they do not have a negative PCR test. The quarantine can be interrupted once they provide a negative PCR test.

The Minister emphasized that the current measures in the fight against coronavirus will remain in force until December 18, when the COVID-19 Crisis response team will meet again.

A session of the RS Government has not yet been held to adopt these measures.
