Recommendations of the Minister of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure March 23, 2020 The Minister of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure, Ms. Zorana Mihajlovic has issued recommendations to all investors regarding their activities during state of emergency and coronavirus epidemic. It is recommended to all investors to undertake all available actions to ensure the same level of activities as before at the constructions sites in the course of implementation of infrastructural projects, construction and rehabilitation of roads, railway lines and also in the field of construction of residential facilities, utility infrastructure and other activities. All investors are required to provide the employees with required means of protection from coronavirus , in accordance with the decisions of the Government. Even during the state of emergency the Ministry will keep regular communication with all the investors at the most important infrastructural projects in the country, in order facilitate the implementation of projects during this difficult period. According to the information published by Ms. Mihajlovic, at the construction sites of the largest construction projects in Serbia today were present 1529 workers and all the construction works are performed with the implementation of measures determined for suppression of COVID-19. The Minister has emphasized that the number of workers corresponds to the phases of construction works and that the largest number of workers – 443 workers are engaged on construction of high-speed railway line Belgrade-Budapest at the section between Stara Pazova and Novi Sad. At the second section of the same railway line, from Belgrade to Stara Pazova, where the construction works are performed by the Chinese companies CCCC and China Railway International today were present 362 workers.
