{"id":424,"date":"2020-06-17T10:27:02","date_gmt":"2020-06-17T10:27:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.advokatibeograd.rs\/en\/?p=424"},"modified":"2022-09-15T16:39:54","modified_gmt":"2022-09-15T16:39:54","slug":"status-of-foreign-residents-in-the-republic-of-serbia-after-june-6-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/advokatibeograd.rs\/en\/status-of-foreign-residents-in-the-republic-of-serbia-after-june-6-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Official Notice Published on the Website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs &#8211; Status of Foreign Residents in the Republic of Serbia after June 6 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We would like to inform you that the timeframe set by <strong>the Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Serbia on Prevention and Control Measures for COVID-19<\/strong> (&#8220;Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia&#8221; No. 66 of 7 May 2020) by which the procedures regarding the status of foreigners are determined, but which failed to be initiated during the state of emergency for objective reasons, shall be initiated within 30 days of lifting the state of emergency, <strong>has expired on 6 June 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bearing in mind the aforementioned, it is no longer possible to submit requests for meeting the requirements with respect to the status of foreigners who found themselves in the Republic of Serbia during the state of emergency by applying the provision of the said Regulation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this regard, we would like to inform you that foreigners whose temporary stay has expired during the state of emergency, i.e., visas based on which they legally resided in the Republic of Serbia by 6 June 2020 and who failed to submit the request for both meeting the status requirements and further stay in the Republic of Serbia by that day are considered illegal residents of the Republic of Serbia, thereby the provisions of the Law on Foreigners governing illegal residence shall be applied.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We would also like to inform you that foreigners who submit regular requests for meeting the requirements of their status in accordance with the Law on Foreigners shall still be allowed to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mup.gov.rs\/wps\/wcm\/connect\/1361b2de-1305-41a9-9530-129143607573\/lat_poslovi.pdf?MOD=AJPERES&amp;CVID=n8oq1cX\">schedule their appointments at the competent regional police administration on the Internet address and by dialing a telephone number found on the Ministry&#8217;s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bearing in mind the possibility of appointment scheduling at the competent police administration for the purpose of request submission for extension of temporary residence, we would like to remind you that the Law on Foreigners clearly sets out that the request for extension of temporary residence shall be submitted no earlier than 3 months and no later than 30 days prior to temporary residence expiration date.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We would like to lay special stress on the fact that the <strong>Police Administration for the City of Belgrade, Administration for Foreigners in 35 Savska Street<\/strong>, will be working with the clients <strong>from Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 13:00 as of 8 June 2020<\/strong>.
